This Project was presented to me in the first semester of my Junior year. We were tasked with creating a Houseware project that complied with the requirements of the International Housewares Competition. After much consideration I had decided on creating an electric smokeless grill that was equipped with I.O.T. technology, ensuring that the grill would prevent food from burning. The concept behind this grill came from the situation my dad is in. He has been bed ridden for 6 years now and has since been unable to grill outside. I wanted to create a product that would allow him to grill from the comfort of his living room without dealing with all of the smoke that comes with grilling. Another reason for creating this product came from the need for a truly smokeless grill for people who live in an apartment or studio and don’t have access to a grill. After interviewing fellow students and friends I found that most people don’t cook because they don’t know how to cook. The I.O.T Technology would assist with this issue in adjusting temp within the grill to ensure that everything is fully cooked. Unit is 10 in. x 10 in. x 12 in. which is large enough to cook an entire meal and small enough to store away on a countertop or in a cupboard in a small apartment.
